Mallala stood witness to EBC Brakes technology
EBC Brakes put to test at Mallala, Australia

The Australian Saloon Car Company feted EBC Brakes in the recently concluded Mallala leg of the 2007 Australian Motor Racing Series. The largely pastoral lands of Mallala, an hour north of Adelaide, stood silent witness as saloons, kart, and bikes battled hard tracks and high humidity. A V8 SS Commodore driven by Derek Hocking claimed top honors for the saloon car category. It won the race over close No. 2 Drew Russell, driving a bright orange Honda S2000. Both cars displayed to the full extent the EBC Brakes YellowStuff capability, as one lap into the checkered flag both drivers rode side by side and tried to outdo one another. “Our Motorsport involvement allows us to monitor our products in extreme conditions,” EBC Brakes released in a statement. The performance reiterated the “value for money” of EBC Brakes, the statement added.

EBC Brakes makes shortlist of Aprilia teams in 2007 Moto ST Race

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

EBC Brakes made it to the shortlist of Aprilia USA dealers set to field teams for the 2007 Moto ST Endurance Road Racing series. R&R Racing, pitting the vaunted Aprilia Tuono against the world’s current best, will represent EBC Brakes in the races.

The Aprilia USA teams, poised to lead the pack in showcasing latest motoring technologies, will face equally spectacular machines from BMW, Ducati, Buell, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Hyosung.

Composed of riders Dave Estok and Mike Luke and team manager Brett Ray, R&R Racing will enter the competition furnished with bike equipment and parts from EBC Brakes.

EBC Brakes got the nod to support one of the three Aprilia USA teams after the company finished the review of dealer applications seeking to represent the bike manufacturer. EBC Brakes bested hundreds of dealers into the Moto ST Endurance series.

“We’ve heard from dealers in the past that they want to race Aprilia products,” said Aprilia brand manager Rick Panettieri. “(The Moto ST Endurance series) was designed to get dealers what they need to start racing.”

“The heart of the Aprilia brand has always been racing, and dealers who race have always represented our brand with the passion and spirit that Aprilia is known for,” he added.

Riding the races on the heels of Aprilia USA team’s Daytona circuit win, R&R Racing expects a stiff competition. “The Tuono is one of our bestselling models, and we can’t wait to get it on the track. The Moto ST Endurance series is a perfect place to showcase this bike, and looks like it will be a great racing series.”

EBC Brakes at Brityrex

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

One of the leading companies in the automotive parts industry, EBC Brakes, participated at this year’s Brityrex to showcase their products.

According to James Hallett, EBC Brakes’ ICT and marketing manager, the show would provide an opportunity to build the company’s awareness and presence in the tyre, automotive and CV aftermarket sectors. EBC was recently approved by Bridgestone as its recommended brake product supplier.

“The national roll-out program with First Stop is already underway, with many locations already enjoying the benefits of this new relationship,” explained James.

“We are convinced that the chance of enhancing profits at a time when margins on tyres are being eroded will be attractive to professional fitting stations and we’ll be using Brityrex to get that message over loud and clear to the trade,” he added.
